I am back from Walmart i exchanged my movie, and got my dishsoap and TP which is except for the movie is what i went for and only spent $94.00 I know expensive TP and dishsoap but i figured since i had my gift card I would go ahead and stock up on some stuff and of course Mom was all about spending my gift card LOL but now I need to do my dishes that I now have soap, Well Ok after the race maybe..

I thought I would start my day finishing up my wood burner but neither Lowes or home depot have the last piece I need to complete the chimney they both said that sort of pipe is seasonal and they have it all put away, Huh who would have thought, so I came home and did a quick Google search and found the exact part i need so i am going to go ahead and order it I just want that job done and out of the way even if it is "seasonal " 

I also got a gift card from Walmart for $213.00 with the remainder of my safety points so i think I want to co pick up Mom and head to walmart also I need to exchange that movie i bought it did not work correctly it jusped around a lot I still watched it and it is a pretty good movie, i don’t think it is close to Clint Eastwoods best but it was still good, so I am going to get a new one plus I need to stock up on lunch supplies..

Today is my first 1/2 weekend i will be getting off it was really nice to know after today i am now finished and beginning my weekend this is going to be a good thing for me a lot of Holidays fall on Sundays and I miss them as Fathers day will be here in a week or 2 Oh and the 4th of july falls on Saturday so I will be getting a nice 3 day weekend.

 I have a dentist appointment Tuesday evening at 7:30 that is the earliest I could get one I am sure I can survive until then although I have been getting a bit cranky but that will be all good after I get a small adjustment…..

Last Thursday the safety committee (including me) spent the day doing some landscaping at work we just had this new building built and our boss said he wanted something done to tidy the place up he did not care what we did so I think he is pleased and i think it looks really good…

I am not sure what I will be doing tomorrow I began to install a new heat exchanger for on my wood burner my old one worked Ok but the motor was starting to make noise so I used my safety points to get a new one and it was delivered yesterday so I want to get that done and out of the way and I see my laundry is getting behind so i might go ahead and throw a load in tonight..

Oh Bertha did not wake me last night……..

Last night I went to a friends house for a night watching the Saxonburg fireman’s parade, it was fun we were there last year also, my friends father, owns the house right on main street and the parade goes right past their front yard it was a lot of fun, I got home around  9:30 and finally to bed at 10:30 so I was pretty tired today at work. .Christopher and Kristen, my friends who hosted the party just had a baby her name is Abigail, she is so cute and she actually seems to enjoy the parade but the night ended early for them it seems funny they were always the last to leave and now they need to finish early but it is all good they are growing up
                           
                           
  
Tomorrow is finally my Friday this will be good for me working the new shift, I need to train my co worker to take the responsibility of the weekends I think it  easy but I guess I can see how he is overwhelmed but he will be fine I know he will do Ok.

When I got home from work Mom called and told me she made me a big pork roast and sauerkraut and mashed potatoes it was delish and I have plenty for work tomorrow LOL she is making me fat but she loves to cook so I feel obligated to eat.

Last night Bertha woke me up at midnight to go outside I was so pissed I left her out all night but i think she did it because I left her out before I left for the parade but it was raining so she did not want to get wet so she did not go do her business so we are going to have big trouble if she wakes me up again tonight..

I went and got the gaskets i need for my truck now just the time and ambition to put them in. I finished Blood Brothers, it was really good but am ready for #2 but did not plan on finishing this one so soon so i only ordered the second and third yesterday so it will take a couple days I would guess to get them but I can be patient. Oh while I was at Walmart I bought the movie Gran Torino I saw the previews for it and it looks like a pretty good movie I always liked Clint Eastwood, maybe I will watch it tonight

I had to buy a new paper shredder today I think maybe I wore out my old one but at any rate it quit and I use it a lot so I began my day with a trip to walmart  $47.00 so while there I had to buy a new movie and a candle of course but that is all. I came home and hooked it up and got caught up on all the documents I needed to shred it has been broken for a while but no problem with the wood burner I just burned everything but now since it is warmer ………………

I then decided to look under my old truck to see what sort of job that oil pan gasket was going to be LOL Looks ugly I have been told that the engine has to be pulled out and from what I see under there that may be correct However I do not have the necessities to remove an engine in my driveway so on to the internet to do some research, it looks like with some patients and luck I can unbolt the motor mounts and jack up the engine enough to get the oil pan off…….. Sigh…….  I think  lot of patients and Luck but it is looking like it may rain so I will begin it another day maybe today i might go buy the gaskets and at least try to get it up on Jackstands  so I can have a better look at the job it is a good truck and still in pretty good shape so it is worth the aggrivation at least I say that now…

My bid was finally posted I am now working Tuesday through Saturday with rest days Sunday and Mondays, I think I am going to enjoy having Sundays off after over a year of working Sundays, the younger machinist is not very happy about now having to work Saturdays and Sundays but that is just how seniority works….

Today was a good day to have off i did Mom’s mowing and then was reading my book on the porch when she came over and asked if I wanted to go to the store with her I did not need anything but figured I would go as she needed gas so after fueling up we went and did the shopping she needed at Giant Eagle then to Kings for lunch/dinner and then we went to visit Dad’s grave to do some cleaning and put up fresh flowers, and that was pretty much my day I finished up my mowing and parked my old truck in front of the garage because i am going to begin that nasty oil pan gasket replacement job…

OK it is Thursday, today as the first Thursday of the month is the safety committee meeting which I am a member oh they now call it safety improvement team, anyhow we meet and discuss safety issues, complaints and accidents and human factor incidents, we were done with the meeting at 11:00 so we had some good quality time to get some work done the big issue today was landscaping around the new building, I had other things I wanted to take care of like marking clearance points near switches and putting the railing up on the elevated rail so I chose to leave the landscaping to the others and went off myself and do what i needed to get done, by 3:30 I did have a couple helpers and we got most all I wanted to get done finished but when I went to change I did not see any landscaping done LOL maybe next time for them…

I sure am glad I have spell check, Oh my sickness is all but gone Oh I still have a little bit of a cough but that is pretty much it, I was hoping it would just work itself out and it did. I got one nasty sore spot on my upper dentures when I put them in but it goes away avter a few minutes it is continure I will have to make an appointment to have an adjustment made. I spoke to my boss again about the shift change and he assured me i got it but still want to see something it writing and if he is correct this will be my last Sunday I need to work, which works out well for the 4th of July falls on Saturday giving me a nice 3 day weekend which I shall try to extend with a personal day to a 4 day weekend if they will let me

I have never been a fan of Nora Roberts books I always thought they were girlie love story’s. The last book I read was " The Street Lawyer" by John Grisham, he kept me occupied on a couple flights to and from Mexico but with that book done i have not read another since then so at the suggestion of a friend I bought the first in the "Sign of Seven Trilogy"  Blood Brothers is the first, (Ebay $1.00) so far it is really a good book she said i would enjoy it so now I have my next 3 books to read, am feeling much better now enjoying my book and quiet time, Oh I have a little tomato on my plant

Today is a droopy day out I heard it raining and thundering last night and it is looking like it wants to rain again, I am feeling a little bit better today I think the meds are helping my throat is still a little sore but getting better I am just keeping using the cough drops they are helping a lot but I can see a nap happening today sometime.

My new permanent dentures feel better today I think they are going to be Ok and I should not need to go back to the dentist office for a while, I just have some much needed laundry to get finished up and of course there is a sink full of dishes so other that that i am going to be lazy on my last day off..
