I thought by now the rain would stop but it looks like the weather had different plans, so since Steelers will be starting at 4:00 I guess i am in for the day and will not get any work done on my wood pile..

                   

Oh my truck was picked up on Friday to go to the shop for repairs I still don't have the money from the insurance company I sent in the title 3 weeks ago and have been waiting for the salvage certificate nationwide will not give me the money till I show the certificate so monday i will go to the notary that sent it in to see if she can find out where it is I am a bit anxious to get my money but once that is done I should be getting my truck back in a few weeks but in the mean time my good old faithfull 96 Ranger is still running good and getting me around Ok..

oh here is that picture of the guy cutting up the meat outdoors at that little town I visited in Mexico still can't get over all the things going on in that little place but glad I got to see it makes me appreciate home…

I finally got my first week in after vacation it took me a couple days to get back into the swing of things but by Saturday I was fine. So my short week over and weekend has begun I got my first cord of wood delivered Friday night it has rained since then so I just got a little bit stacked I was planning on hitting it hard today but at last check it was still raining I lit the wood burner the last 2 nights as it has been chilly so maybe today if the rain stops I might get some done, of course we have a lot of football today so may not get a whole lot done I will at least get the splitter out and fueled up and am hoping for a dry day tomorrow and would like to get it all finished up tomorrow then I can get my second cord some time next week I wanted to have all my wood done by the end of the month but doubt that will happen I still have time though last year I finished by the end of October so I will be fine…

 

Work is going Ok the hearings are done and it is just a matter of time to see if they can get rid of one guy who has been giving everybody trouble he is very verbally abusive i can't imagine why he is such a prick but he has managed to piss everybody off and he is getting downright dangerous  to be working around this has been going on for a long time so for the last 6 weeks he has been pulled out of service but the union is fighting it so don't know what will happen am not looking forward to him coming back but whatever happens will happen and I will just have to deal with it too good of a job to let just one person ruined it for me…

 

I just finished cooking lunch so am going to watch some ESPN and just enjoy the rainy day as well as I can.

Vacations are always nice but I think it it always great to finally be home Mexico is a great vacation spot i think expecially since i know someone there to show me around…. this is way above Houston Texas.

                      

The highlight for me was visiting the Pyramids in Veracruz it was a 12 hour drive but well worth it we stayed there for 2 days spent one day visiting the town and the gulf beach

                      

and an entire day at the pyrimind it was really something to see a great experience for me i can't believe how few people were there during our visit but then again it was a Thursday, and the fresh shrimp I had for dinner was to die for better than anything I have ever had here..

We got home from there late Friday night and had delishous Tacos for dinner at this cool resturand that did not have walls just a roof and wide open but they had the greatest tasting tacos I have ever had it was a good end to the day. Saturday we went to visit this town that i was amazed by it we went to a womans house to buy fresh bread and drove through town it was like the town was stuck 50 years ago people were cooking and selling coen on the cob on the streets as well as chicken, ribs and pretty much anything you wanted and riding houses on the streets just like cars and quads , it was mostly dirt roads, Oh this was nasty this guy was butchering a cow in the counter and after he got it cut up it was just sitting on the counter out in the open and he was waiting for people to come and buy it you just went up to him and said what steak you wanted and he sliced it off wrpped it up and there was your meat fresh no doubt but not very unsanitary I have a picture of him cutting it up but it is on my cell will transfer to computer and post it, also we went in this cute little resturant and bought a mess of homemade candy which is delishous

                      

after thad we went to a friends house and had goat for dinner.. All in all it was a great cacation a lot more happened and i have more pictures to post, again with all the good times i am exhausted and glad to be home..

I began early this morning and sort of took my time but i got all the wood moved from my driveway  to it’s place on the porch i did not realize how much was there so that aside from making my lunch for tomorrow and cleaning up the driveway is what i got done today it rained off and on all day but not enough to keep me from getting this done i still need 2 cords so maybe i might go ahead and get one delivered then after vacation I can get started on that hopefully I will be all finished with my wood by the end of September.

Now I am finished for the evening my lunch is ready and I am beat, Oh need to make a few phone calls from work like to the insurance company and I guess I have to give the Silverado back as I will tell them I decided to buy my 03 and I need to call for my next load of wood then after work go and send for the salvage certificate for the 03 so I can get my money..

Today I decided I would go ahead and wash my old truck and change oil and filter so that would be done, With that job out of the way i jumped into my wood cutting and splitting so I stayed with that all day and finally got it done there was a lot of wood there but it is all cut and split now all I need to do is stack it all tomorrow. My legs and back are aching need to take a couple Aleve

                               

Oh Friday evening my niece had her baby everything was going well then I guess they way i understand that the baby began coming out then went back in so they had to do an emergency C section that all went good she is 7LB 8OZ Mom and Kelly went up to see her today and she and baby are doing well that is good news..

That’s all for today now just going to have a coffee and relax before bed

So I decided on my truck the adjuster came and she decided that it was a total loss since it was a reconstructed title it took a little linger to have a figure for some reason but the next day the adjuster called me and told me they would give me $7049.00 for it, now I would lose $1300.00 if i took this so I called the people who had originally fixed and sold me the truck and they said find out the amount of the buy back from the insurance company, So the next day I found I can buy it back for $700.00 so we took a good look at the truck and decided we can fix it for under the $6300.00 they will give me as long as we can find a matching rear end with the proper gears in it so that is the hold up. I will have to give the rental back Tuesday but my other truck is done so I have that to drive until my 03 is repaired i am happy with this deal more so than trying to find another truck in as good as shape as this one for $7000.00
