Woke up at 6:00 this morning so nice to have a day off it is suppose to be hot and humid today so I think I am going to get some inside work done today my house needs a good cleaning and of course I am going to go for a ride sometime today. Cris took me to Applebee's for dinner Friday for late fathers day I had a Ruben sandwich it was good but was not that hungry as the company had a picnic for us during the day for our good safety record so I ate too much all day.

Thursday I had to take Bertha to the vet that is always so dramatic but it went well she got her shots and is doing well she lost 40 pounds since last visit she now weighs 90 pounds the vet says everything looks good she is just getting old but doing good for her weight and being 12 years old.

Last night my internet was working good for a change so i ordered some parts for my old bike want to get that project done here sometimes before winter. September is my second week of vacation i am going to Cancun I have never been there but it looks beautiful I just hope the oil slick stays away from there..

I had a good fathers day Cris could not come but Kelly and the kids were there so I was happy and i helped her pick out the menu for her wedding reception so that was fun and here is mom’s gazebo it turned out great and she is thrilled with it..

                                                              

My Internet server really sucks I have been having a lot of trouble with it so after calling tech support for 3 weeks now with no results I decided to switch from DSL to Cable Internet it has to be better i have no service when it rains and with the amount of money I am paying I thinks it should work all the time so I am in the process of switching all my email to my yahoo account then I will change ISP and cancel the crap I have right now

Today was a hard day at work I am just so tired and my leg hurts really bad am looking forward to a nice hot shower and my bed, still am waiting on a load of laundry to get done, Oh and when I went downstairs to put the laundry the basement floor was so damp my feet actually got wet so I emptied the dehumidifier and turned it on that should help just have to keep on top of it it has been so hot and humid lately .. I have more pictures but it is taking too long to upload so better post this before i lose it   GRRRRRRRRRRR

I took a personal day off today, Last night was parade night at Saxonburg I am fortunate to be good friends with people who live right on main street to great view we all had a good time I usually don't drink but last night had a few and thought it moght be best to take today off and expecially after yesterday at work I was helping to lay track and put in a crossing right behind the shop that is hard work, and today Mom's Gazebo is being build she went on a bus trip to Pittsburgh so I will be here in case the workers need anything I have not gone over to her place yet to check but I hear lots of activity so they must be doing OK..

I will post pictures when it is done.

Slow progress on the old bike, going to order the parts I need today and also I decided to paint it I still hope to have it done by the end of summer..

Was hard going back to work after a week off but after a couple days I was fine and I am back in the routine of work we are still working 10 hour days but now it is not mandatory but i figure as long as they are offering it I may as well take it I am off today but will be working tomorrow which is suppose to be my rest day. I got a few things done today did all my dishes and decided to clean out the fridge well another sink full of dishes to do but I will get them done today, also did a couplle loads of laundry otherwise was a bit lazy today the weather people are threatening rain for today but have not seen any yet. Mom came over yesterday after work with some plants for around my tree i think they are called Hosta Lillies I think anyhow they are suppose to grow good in the shade.                       

It looks good I guess i should do more work in the yard like that I have never been one for plants and flowers but what the heck Mom wants all this stuff done and her place looks really good she is always out fussing in the yard so whatever she wants who am I to argue it is for the better so I guesss i am going to stop at Lowes next week and pick up some more of that fancy fence and some top soil.

I have decided to start working on my winter supply of wood sounds funny being it is 80 degrees outside today but the wood guy told me he was going to have to raise the price per cord no suprise everything is going up but he told me if I ordered my wood in June or July he would give me last years price so might as well get the better price and have my wood done early. My plan is for this winter to be my last for using wood for heat I will or should say might have enough saved for new siding and windows on my house plus a new furnace but I want to pay cash which will be around $13,000.00 for all of it I am on my way and if the overtime keeps up i should be able to pull it off if I can just stay out of the Harley shop we will see. Also Kellys wedding is nexy July so i will need money for that so far only about $2000.00 but I am sure by next year it will be more you know how wedding plans go..

Vacations sure do go by fast seems like it just started and here today is my offical last vacation day tomorrow and Monday are my rest days but I was called for overtime tomorrow so as usual I said yes but will still have Monday off things are a lot less stressfull on the weekends so rather than work Monday I chose tomorrow but that is fine time to get back to work at least I did get rested up and a few projects done, Oh speaking of projects Mom decided she wants to get a Gazebo for on her deck it sounds really cool she is going to have it put here on her deck at least all I need to do is dig 8 12" X 36" holes and full with cement for the posts the Gazebo people will do the rest.

                                                                    

On the way to Lowes yesterday I mentioned I need to do something with my front yard I have 3 huge trees and I thought putting something around the bottom would be nice well Mom took off with that and this is what we got done she plans on planting something in there that will grow in the shade will post more pictures when the whole job is done LOL she must be getting bored

Work on my old bike is coming along Mom bought me new clutches for it for my birthday even though it is not till August she went ahead and got them for me now as I needed them. Yesterday both the clutches and the carb kit were delivered so I will finish up rebuilding the carb and finish tearing apart the primary side and begin looking for the drive sprockets and final drive chain and all the seals and gaskets i need.

It has been a great vacation week despite the rain I really needed this week off I have been getting a lot done I took the cover off my truck bed and loaded it up with crap that both Mom and I wanted to get rid off and took it to the dump, so that was a big job out of the way. I was going to get my old truck fixed but the closer I looked the engine has to come out so right now i am trying to find a garage who will do it I just am not set up to pull an engine in my driveway so decided to just go ahead and pay someone to do it who has the proper equipment for the job. I am working on getting my garage in order and beginning to make repairs on my old Harley really having trouble finding parts thank goodness for the Internet I managed to find and order most everything I need but still it is a big project and I hope to have it done before vacation is over..

                                                                     

 

This is a picture I took of Mom's back yard this reminds me of another job she needs a new burn barrel maybe I can take care of that job tomorrow as I am waiting for parts to come in.

                                                             

Mom stopped over with my mail and I had the carburetor off my bike all tore apart and cleaning it on my computer desk LOL she just shook her head she should know me by now oh she gave me her torture device an exercise bike damn that thing is a killer have been trying to lose a few pounds that should either do it or kill me …
