I finally heard from the adjuster she is coming tomorrow after I get off work she suggested stopping at my work to look at it so I had to tell her how bad the damage was so she is coming after work and she asked where I wanted it fixed at I told her and she is familiar with them she said we may have to take it there for her to complete the estimate i said I agree so tomorrow after work finally some action will happen, I am glad and now have high hopes it can be fixed and i will get to keep it.

Another cold day today I actually lit a fire this morning as it was pretty chilly and I wanted to see how the new heat exchanger was going to work and it did fine. I took Mom up to walmart so she could do some grocery shopping and I had to go to Lowes for a new chain for my saw so I plan on doing some more work on my wood pile here need to get that all done soon…..

Thats all work in the morning and hopefully good new on my truck…….

Finally my weekend is beginning I took a nap after work today so i could stay up for the entire game today went well things are still slow but steady work so I guess that is good no overtime but am happy with the 6 hours I got during the week. I thought I would add a couple shots of my rental of course i need to put that truck in here..

It is a beautiful truck and runs great but then again it is a 2009 so it had better run well

I am thinking tomorrow I might cut and split wood no other plans and it is something that I need to get done I know it is early but I need to get this all cleaned up before i get another cord delivered the sooner I get it done the happier I will be that is getting to be a lot of work every fall but I really like buring wood for heat..

I was just outside and even though it is still summer i can just feel the fall in the air not cold but you can just tell, aside from the fact that winter is after fall it is my favorite time of the year got to get more riding time in before it is too late..

Yesterday i got a letter from the insurance company (Nationwide) it looked like a standard letter for someone with a claim so i called the number to speak to the guy who sent it, I gave him the claim number and he said yes he remembers talking to me I told him I had not heard from the adjuster yet he said i should have and then he gave me the adjuster’s name and phone number I just said I wanted to see if there was a problem he said no problem the other driver was at fault and they were going to take care of the damages i said you do know I am still in the rental he said yes that is fine they will pay $25.75 toward a rental, Yikes, The Big truck I have is costing $35.00 per day so I went back to Enterprise  and they told me since I drove a truck and they are responsible for it and I should be able to rent a truck so the girl told me contact the adjuster and see if they will authorize the extra money and she said if not then they will adjust the cost to the car price since I am already in the truck and would hate the Cobolt so i said Ok that will work fine for me.They are really nice people there…

I have been working 10 hours the last 3 days and we have been so busy I am really getting exhausted starting at 5:00 AM but can use the overtime money, tomorrow we are starting at the normal time 7:00 so I guess I can sort of sleep in and am looking forward to my 2 days off. Just can’t wait to sleep in, and also am anxious to find out what will become of my poor broken up truck but as long as they are paying for the rental well I can wait..

I went and took out my XM radio out of my truck and here both doors open and close so I looked under her a little bit better and I think if I go to the junk yard and buy a new matching differential I should be able to get it with the leaf springs still attached if not attached I can just buy them there so I can then reattach the emergency brake cable and brake lines and buy new shocks and a new matching rim. with this done it can be driven so I will go check the alignment and make sure the frame is not bent, if frame checks out I will get a 4 wheel alignment and have everything else gone over, if not then I will need to get the frame straightened,(expensive) I will need to loosen and realign the bed as it is pushed off center a little bit. With all this done I can then drive it until i get new doors and a bedside installed and repainted. So if the adjuster says to get it fixed then i will take it to the body shop and have it done, if they total it I will buy it back from the insurance company and fix it myself and I think I can do all that for maybe a couple thousand dollars the biggest expense will be the matching differential and the frame straightened if necessary so i am confident i will still keep my truck one way or another, I really like that truck..

I felt good today no pains from the roller coaster ride I took in fact i am going into work tomorrow early for a couple hours overtime how nice it that, Oh still waiting to hear from the adjuster to call me

I had the chance to work overtime today and since  I had to be there anyhow i thought why not a day of overtime is unusual with the slow down so I woke up at the normal time and pulled out of my driveway at 6:13 AM 2 minutes later by the time i saw the headlights there was not a damn thing I could do, I was hit on my drivers door and the car continued back the side of my truck till it hit my left rear wheel tearing the rear differential from under my left side throwing my truck into the bank then to the other side of the road Damn I really liked that truck.
                            

 as soon as i got out I saw the damage and was sick to my stomach the driver came back and asked if I was Ok I said I was and I asked him and he said he was then he said I guess we got too close back there I chuckled a bit and said it looks to me like you are the one that got too close the skid marks showed he ran into me he said yes i think I fell asleep. the police came and we exchanged info and he told him he was reaching for his coffee and ran into me so I got a copy of the police report and was towed back to my house, I took Mom’s car into work and gave my testomony and then came home to contact his insurance company well I mean his girlfriends as it was her car. While I was waiting I went and got a rental (2009 Chevy Silverado) LOL why not, anyhow the insurance called me (nationwide) and we went over it all and he told me her insurance was minimum and would only pay up to $5,000.00 for damage I told him Ok Hint for you that is not going to be enough so he did say his insurance on his car will take up the rest so he said don’t worry it all should be covered plus the rental and tow, I am going to try for my loss wages also. Damn I really liked that truck.

Decided to go ahead and get my shopping done $75.00 don’t know how i need to spend that much money on grocery’s but at least i will have my lunch for the week Oh i can stay and finish my day on overtime Monday that is great……

Ok i think I will do some painting have to finish up painting the trim in my bedroom

Finally my day off it seems to have been a long week, Today i do need to get some grocerysand maybe a little bit of laundry but other than that i don’t know it is looking like rain outside maybe might be a good day to do some cleaning out in the garage or if the rain holds off maybe might cut and split some wood..

I need to go into work tomorrow for a hearing for an employee who needs to be fired due to his abrasive and nasty attitude toward other employees  don’t know how it will turn out I am sure the union will protect him but i am just going to go in and tell how he has been treating me and about the bad argument  plus the verbal abuse he had with the weekend supervisor so we will see I think he will be back and worse now that he knows he can’t be fired.

My truck has been in the shop for a week now,

Oh my old truck it is due for state inspection and needed rear brakes and a brake line was badly rusted and the shop I usually use was really slow so since I was in no hurry for it I went ahead and let them do it I told them I am not in a rush for it so it is still there I still need to do the oil pan gaskets before winter i have been putting that job off but I better get on it..

Well, it is Friday my day at work went pretty well we were really short machinists and we are backing up with work our supervisor was a pain in the ass today overtime is still not allowed but we have plenty of work and he wants it all done well it is not going to happen he said tomorrow he wants me to build up a traction motor an install it which is no biggy except we will be short one machinist and we have 6 units needing serviced and to go North tomorrow so maybe the motor won’t get done we will see how the day goes….

Mom contacted the insurance company and they told her go ahead and make an appointment and get it fixed so she did that and I think Monday they will have it for a week and will give her a rental car so she is happy it is just too bad that happened I am going to have to keep an yey on her and her driving skills..

Nothing else new the Stuffed Peppers and Mashed Potatoes were delish I will finish them for lunch tomorrow..

I am Feeling much better today I had a good day at work my neck felt much better this morning and I slept quite well last night so I am not going to take any Aleve tonight I think I will be Ok we will see in the morning…

Right now I am winding down to bed time I am hearing thunder  but no rain yet and there is a good football game on tonight Philadelphia and  the Colts so it can’t get any better(Well maybe it could) but I am content tonight but am anxious for Saturday to see my Steelers play again..

Mom called and told me she made stuffer peppers for me and mashed potatoes soo good but the bad news was she wrecked her car not bad she was pulling out of her friends driveway and hit a large rock and sort of mashed in the passenger door I told her since she has full coverage to go ahead and call the insurance company she has not has a claim for many years and they told her to go ahead and get an estimate and get it fixed so really no big deal and it wasn’t so I think she is Ok now

Today was not a very pleasant day I woke up with a terrible pain in my neck when i turned my head to the right It really hurt I tossed around the idea of calling off work but decided against it as I have only 2 personal days left and I just figured I slept wrong and pulled a muscle but let me tell you it did not get any better i keep Advil in my lunch box but there was only 2 left in the bottle don’t have any idea what happened to them, anyhow I took them 2 but did not help every time I turned my head to the right the pain was almost unbearable but I toughed it out and finally made it through the day. After work I had to go to Giant eagle for lunch supplies and I bought some Aleve I took 2 of them even before I paid for them LOL and then I got a deal for a couple lunches they had an 8 piece of chicken, 1 lb of macaroni and cheese and a 2 liter coke product for $8.50, So I bought that and split it up for lunch for 2 days I don’t drink soda so I will just take that to work and it will get drank there I also bought cherry tomatoes and cucumbers  I like to cut the cucumbers and put them with the tomatoes in a Tupperware container with Balsamic Vinegar quite tasty. and lastly I just made some hard boiled eggs for 9:00 break. after all that my neck feels a bit better still hurts but better I am about to take a long hot shower (after my last load of laundry) and take 2 more Aleve and go to bed and home it feels better tomorrow
