Another Christmas done it was a good day we had a smoked turkey this year for something different it was ok not great but was ok will probable do it every year now as Mom does not want to cook but still wants everybody at her house for holidays so smoked turkey it is Ham is not a problem it just gets cooked for a couple hours then I slice it and put in aluminum pans, so it worked out well, my great grandson Landon got a battery powered truck he loved it

It was surprising warm I think it was in the 50s seems strange for Christmas but weather appears to be changing for the better I remember in my younger years winters were brutal now not so much I didn’t even plow once last year so that is fine with me.

I am going to go and clean out pellet burner and get some heat fired up in garage I will be tinkering out there today, I put Moms car on trickle charge she has not driven it since August and battery was dead, and my daughter Cris, is coming to take her out for lunch and decided to drive her car it will do it good to be driven.

Exactly one year ago today December 20th 2018 was my last day of work I was really looking forward to Retirment and it has been great I got myself comfortable financially so I am doing ok well except for December with Christmas it is always a little stretched out but I am fine, I always have something to do if not I am in my garage tinkering with my old cars, and now with Mom being sick I am extra busy but all in all life is good.

glad my furnace broke when it did as it was 15 this morning, I think I got all my Christmas chores in order it is like pulling teeth to find out what the girls want I figured a couple thinks and will make up the rest with cash that always seems to work.

health wise things seem ok had a ct scan done again on my lungs and a sonogram done don’t know why but she wants me to go to a specialist for a consultation I guess she wants a second opinion I don’t know will wait till after holidays to get that done

It was about 8:30 this morning I was feeling a little chilly I always wear sweatshirt in house but it was just not feeling right checked thermostat and it said it was 68 I keep my furnace at 72 so I know trouble I checked breaker box no tripped breaker, didn’t know what else to do fairly new 2012 furnace so all pretty much electronic, so called local company who installed it left a message they called back 1/2 hour later told me parts were 10 year warrantee and they would have someone over this morning, sure enough the guy showed up at 9:30 was bad pressure switch had it up and running by 10:00, relieved me of $ 140.00 plus $ 20.00 Christmas tip so I am back in business.

went walking yesterday on trail it has been almost a month since I have been out there after hurting my back, wow makes a difference my legs hurt, did 3 miles, going to have to keep that up and stay in shape.

Yesterday was wet all day just a gloomy day took Mom to doctors then called about my radiator it was done they lost my number not the best way to run a business but it is done so I went and picked it up now just to reinstall it

Today started out nice and warm but slowly going downhill suppose to be in 30s tonight I guess it is that time of year

Marleys eyes look really good the surgery was a success I think she is happy being able to see so much better it was a rough night when she came home she cried almost all night but now stitches are out and she seems happy $ 600.00 hurt a little bit but I had to have it done I guess that really was not too expensive for surgery.

Well I guess summer is officially over so cold out today, I went for breakfast only ate half brought the rest home with me another thing I am trying with my weight loss struggle is I love to eat out so I always take half home with me for later, has it helped ? No but I figure can’t hurt I will continue doing so.

I hurt my back moving a stove for my daughter it was finally starting to feel better when I did a dumb Thing I was working on my car the front end is up on jack stands and I was reaching across to pull a plug from carburetor couldn’t quite reach it so I kind of jumped sidewise and felt my rib pop as I landed on fender, yes cracked a rib and that hurts like hell.

Thanksgiving went good Marleys eye surgery went good also her stitches are out and she seems to be feeling pretty good and I think she can see much better.

I love Christmas season but not when it is over starting first of year not much to look forward to except spring kind of depressing but that’s ok I will get over it I love retirement
