We have had a little strech of great weather but I am thinking it is over it got a lot colder today and rain all day and suppose to rain tonight and tomorrow, So time to admit summer is long gone. I got my last cord of wood all split and stacked I finished it last night Crista stopped after work and helped me finish it up and glad that job is over every year it seems to get harder and harder..

My truck is coming along the new rear end is installed and new springs and shocks the bed is off and he is waiting for the new bedside to come so he can put that on and get it painted and reinstalled, the insurance company still has not come through with all my money the first check was for $4500.00 as the girl who owns the car had minimum insurance that would only pay $5000.00 on another vehicle, so they are going after the drivers insurance for the rest I was short $1819.00 so hopefully I will get that money before the truck is done. In the meantime my old truck is getting me around just fine.

My furance is all cleaned out and serviced and ready to go the chimney really needed cleaned out but it is all goon now and ready to run still I am just using my wood burner little chilly in the mornings but saving me on my natural gas bill..

Summer is gone here last night it got down into the 30s I still jhave not lit my gas furnace the wood burner has been doing just fine except for mornings it is quite chilly for getting out of bed, so tomorrow i am going to clean out and light the pilot light I was going to do it tonight but as it is nice and warm not the furnace will be kicking on during the night I would rather be awake for the first burn, so tomorrow I will do it after work and let it run to warm up the house then if something goes wrong I will be here and awake so one more cold morning..

 

I worked last Sunday for a day of overtime am glad of that i will be needing the extra money for when my truck is done, as the insurance company did not give me enough money to get it fixed, I only got $5000.00 as the girl had only the state minimum so to get the rest I would have to sue, so I am just going to eat the rest of what I need I just want my truck back should be ready in a couple weeks..

For a weekend it was a little bit too busy, I had a cord of wood sitting here wanting to be split and stacked so I got it all split Sunday before the football games began and what a full day of football fortunatly the Steelers won a nail biter late Sunday night so that was pretty much my day Sunday..

Today i focused on stacking all the wood and got it done around noon then had to make a trip to the post office, and while I was out I went to check on my truck poor thing is sitting there without the bed on it he was working on replacing the bedside, but at least it gave a good view of the rear frame which is not damaged thank goodness it might be another 2 to 3 weeks till it is done. I got the salvage certificate Friday in the mail and the insurance lady called me today and said I can just fax it to her and she will send me the check so that is what i will do from work tomorrow…

That is my life in a quick update work tomorrow i have a stuffed chicken breast and mashed potatoes for lunch that Mom made for me, oh no truck pictures I forgot my camera but will stop and get some shots also we did a lot of cement work at work, pads for outside the doors for the new building and I guess we are putting in a sidewalk this week if the rain holds off I have never done cement work but it was sort of fun but a lot of work turned out great will get pictures of that also…
