Monday was the big show for the new Locomotive it was a long day we really did not have much to do after we set up it was a long and hot day but it as all days ended it was a success and everybody was happy the funny thing was after the show was over the locomotive was scheduled to go to work but can you believe it the damn thing would not load in forward LOL this happens I guess. Since it is all new we don't know anything about it so the builders came today to fix it and i hope it works good from this point on for $700,000.00 it should be fine.

Now Back to the normal rat race

Finally the heat has let up a bit and it is raining right now we really needed it things are so dry I hope it rains all night. I think things are finally ready for Monday the new Locomotive arrived last night and i am pretty sure the shop is all ready we spent the last month getting ready for this big show I hope all goes well I am working both Saturday and Sunday just to do some last minute cleaning up.

I took these pictures today right when it was starting to rain but from where it was sitting it was hard to get good pictures should get some good ones Monday.

This is some of the shop area I have never seen it so cleaned up right now everything is spotless I just hope we can keep it that way in a month we are getting an enviormental inspection from the government that is going to involve even more cleaning and organizeing but it will all be over the middle of August and that goes for the overtime also but that is OK I need the rest these long hours are wearing me down..Oh it is raining and I actually have internet am glad I switched providers

Summer certainly seems to be flying by July already. I am off work today it is my regular scheduled day off but Monday is the offical paid day off which again is my regular day off. I was asked to work Monday I said of course only 2 other people wanted to work so there will be 3 of us, I am surprised that nobody else wanted to work well I guess they all had plans maybe I look at it different but really $500.00 for 8 hours work I had no problem with it. Starting Monday I will be working 13 days straight because next Monday will be the unvieling of 2 brand new locomotives custom built for us, they will be delivered Thursday I will post pictures when they get to the shop, it is a big deal and a big celebration so there is lots of work to be done to get ready for the event don't understand the big deal but am not going to question it, i am thinking it has a lot to do with government grant money being spent but don't know for sure that is just my guess..

it is almost 90 degrees out today was going to mow my grass is out of control I mowed Mom's the other day but did not do mine so maybe later on i might if it cools off but for now a load of laundry and going to kick the Harley into life and hit the road for a while, Oh got my new sprockets and drive chain for my old bike still need to order some things and decide on a seat but maybe I will do a little work on it today also.
