My boss is trying to turn a powerpoint presentation into a dvd program to run on the TV with my voice on it explaining each slide, yesterday I did the voice recording but I guess he is having trouble getting it to work I spent almost all day yesterday with him trying to work it out but today i just went to the shop, and he said at the end of the day he still could not get it worked out, I said Ok just let me run the slide show and I will explain each slide as it comes , it is about universal waste I researched this and now understand a lot more about it at least enough so I know what I am talking about, he told me wait and see if he can fix it, but now I need to wait till next Wednesday when everybody is there any other day people have days off during the week.……

The wether is looking better it still wants to rain but it is warming up I don’t think I will be needing to worry about my wood burner at least I better no, my gas bill was only $34.00 I just paid it today that is managable am glad the furnace no longer runs I went ahead and turned it off for the summer.

It is a shame about Chrysler shutting down almost 800 new cr dealers so sad for people losing their jobs, the railroad is slowing down but so far no talk about layoffs fingers and toes crossed I am just too old to be job hunting again

I forgot Monday was my dentist appointment for my permanent dentures well that did not work out so well they did not fit no way were they going to work out the dentist came in and tried and ground away and tried finally he said these are all wrong they will not fit the bite is all wrong, he apologized and said they will have to start all over so they took my temps and made a new impression and now they will be ready for a wax try in next Monday and the following Monday we will be trying again I can’t wait till this shit is all over

I don’t really know that much about computers as far as having problems I usually just went and bought a new one but this present computer I am using is about 3 1/2 years old and is using Windows XP which I like so I was not sure last night what to do I kept getting a pop up window telling me my computer was being attacked and I needed to buy this security program that would pop up on the next window I kept saying no till I just kept up and began to get on my nerves so i decided to reboot my computer to try to get rid of it and that is when the trouble began as soon as my icons began to show up on my screen it froze up and that was all I could make it do this went on for a couple hours as I kept trying to restart my computer, there was a lot of things on my computer I did not want to lose but I dug out my restore disks but before I used them I saw where F 10 button ws also for restore during start up so I figured I had nothing to lose so I hit it and sure enought my computer restored itself and I still had all my stuff on it all I need to do was reinstall my printer and web cam and now it is working great Huh go figure…

Today I put up a couple new lights for Mom on her deck and just came in from mowing I was going to break out the weed eater but just don’t feel like it maybe I will save that job for tomorrow, I am going to grab a coffee and watch some news, Oh first day without the patch I have not noticed and difference so I guess the patch works   I will be Ok without them..

Happy Mothers Day
My week is finally over it seems like it has been a long week but it is done I had a lot of issues to deal with not worth going into details but just I guess work is work not going to complain. After work I stopped at Mom’s the girls were still there waiting for me to have dinner with them it was a nice visit and I got a tomato plant from Crista and a hanging basket from Kel I think it is called Million Bells it is very pretty I just hope I don’t kill it..

I can’t believe how cold it is going to be tonight right now it is in the low 50s and going down to the 30s tonight  I might have to build a fire tonight I scratched up some wood a couple days ago and I have enough to keep a little warm anyhow but it will get better and summer will come back.
                          

Going to dentist tomorrow I get my permanent dentures I sure do hope they fit better than the ones I have to use now  they say they will be much better after I get used to them I will find out tomorrow.Today is day 55 as a non smoker only one patch left and then I am on my own I think I will be Ok I forgot the patch a couple times and make it without smoking so here is to keep on keeping on, I will struggle away untill I beat it I have too much suffering under my belt to give it up and go back to smoking..

We get rewarded for being safe at work, I have never worked at a place where they spent so much on safety but it is a good thing and we have quiet the safety policy in place, anyhow every 100 days without an reportable injury we get a cookout usually burgers and Hotdogs with a couple sides catered it is always a lot of fun, today we celebrated 18 months without a reportable injury with steak on the grill it was sooo good and on top of the steak plus sides we got one personal day off with pay that is the part I really liked it was an all around a good day and all just for not getting hurt.

I was pleased it warmed up today it looked a little like rain but cleared up and got sunny and warm a prefect spring day. I could almost see the grass growing this weekend looks Ok some rain in the forecast but mostly sunny and around 60 degrees

Today is my Monday it went good except i did not really want to get up this morning usually I wake up at 5:00 AM but I hit snooze a couple times so I was scrambling to get out the door at 6:15 I begin work at 7:00 and live 15 minutes away but I like to get  there early and get changed so I have time to relax a bit before line up.

Yesterday i finished up installing mom’s awning over her deck my brother started the job on Saturday but messed it up and was too busy to finish it Sunday so I went over to look at it and Mom was pretty upset as she wanted it finished so I went about installing it I did not want to do the job so I was glad Bill volunteered to do it but as always I had to finish it up, it looks great and she loves it..

Rain in the forecast tonight I hope it quits for tomorrow as it is our Steak cookout at work for 18 months accident free and since I am on the safety team I imagine I will be cooking the steaks as i cooked the burgers and hotdogs last time and did not have any complaints.

Had to scratch the mowing job due to rain Oh well maybe tomorrow the weather says no rain and 66 degrees so I will give it a shot then, I have 3 bird nests up in my porch, Mom thinks I should have torn them down but you know birds need a place to live also and I checked today and it is too late maybe after they hatch cause they are not hurting anything right now except for mama birds get a little upset when Bertha or myself are on the porch

Ok since mowing is out of the question I do need to go to Sam’s club and maybe Chili’s for lunch but am still enjoying my day off, Oh I did get a call from work seems the fuel count was off over the weekend by over 700 gallons I said it was not me I wrote up all my fuel Oh but then I did remember that I forgot one so I called back and that was the missing fuel, LOL Nobody is perfect I guess..

Finally Friday at least for me I have a lot of plans for my 2 days off I see today I need to mow can;t believe it after what seems like a never ending winter I am needing to mow but that is Ok I won’t get sick of it till around the end of July so I don’t mind and I have the tractor all ready for action, I know Mom’s grass is beginning to get high so the sooner I get on it the better..

Today at work I did something really stupid but I was lucky one of my safety rules which I preach endlessly is if you are lifting something and it gets away from you of slips out of your hands just let it fall and don’t take a chance on getting hurt so stupid me I was rebuilding brake cylinders and lifting the insides into place, they weigh about 50 pounds, well the last one slipped out of my hands, and I was standing on a ladder and instead of letting it go I reached out to catch it, I did and set it back into place but twisted my wrist in the process, it it not broken or anything like that I was too embarassed to say anything to I took a couple advil’s and sucked it up…Duh… it is fine now just a little sore, don’t know why i did that was not thinking I guess..

Ok am going to watch "Cold Case" then off to bed for some well deserved rest… Day 48 and still holding out

Work for me on the weekends I guess it Ok I am not going to complain I have a good job and decent pay, so I have to work weekends no big deal I have Mondays and Tuesdays off. Today was a good day it was warm and not a whole lot of work to do just enough to keep busy and so far tomorrow looks good also. During the week I have an issue with a co worker he was the safety director until he was off work sick and I was asked to take the job it only pays .50 per hour more but I enjoy the extra responsability so after he came back from sick leave he wanted the safety director job back but his first week back he wrecked the brand new service truck so he was then on probation for 6 months so he is not allowed as safety director actually I think it is because I do a better job but anyhow he gives me a lot of shit during the day because he wants the job back, and between me and my diary he is not going to get it back…

Ok back to or to continue the quitting smoking saga still holding out have not lit up yet and it seems I still have the triggers and cravings but they are getting easier to dismiss so as of day 47 it is all good but i do see how easy it would be to fall right back into my old habit.

My sink is again full of dishes I don’t get it, but my lunch is ready and all I need is my shower and off to bed well after "Without a Trace"
